"The Battle Flag of Dixie"

The Band's newest CD, "The Battle Flag of Dixie" has 10 brand new Southern songs written by the Band co- founder, Mark Simpson. Produced by Mark and Randy Simpson, several of the new songs, including the title song, depict the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. "Just Follow Me" gives the battle account at Gettysburg from the 1st person as though the flag was telling the story.

Also Included on the new album are two familiar songs by John Randall Smith (The Rebelaires) of Waycross, Georgia. Performed and recorded by permission, the McGowan Band includes its own rendition of "Dixieland" and "Confederate Man".
